Barbecue: The H295 is our top glove for barbecues, offering effective protection against contact heat. Its design and performance make it one of the kings of summer. Swimming pool: When you add chlorine or other substances to a swimming pool, it is important to protect your hands and forearms from possible splashes that might cause burns and skin irritations. For this job, we recommend our 811C55 glove, tested and certified for use with chemical substances (EN 388:2003EN 374:2003) Planting, pruning and picking: A large number of gardening tasks revolve around planting, picking, sowing, pruning... plants and trees. To protect your hands from calluses, pricks from thorns and other injuries, it is fundamental to work with a glove that provides both protection and comfort.  From our catalogue, we would choose the HN20 (in the photo) 254 and H122210 models. Phytosanitary: When you use chemical products to fertilise your garden or allotment, you should take the right safety measures to protect your hands from chemical agents that can cause severe burns. For these tasks, we recommend the H260 disposable glove reference. Chainsaws: Working with a chainsaw is particularly dangerous. At Juba, we always recommend a certified glove for these tasks. Performed by AITEX, one of the best textile technology institutes in Europe, the latest tests have certified this glove with new higher, quality levels.  The following table shows the results from these tests:

The Juba Quality Department recently travelled to Alicante to attend a course on “Technical materials applied to personal protective clothing and accessories” in the certification company Aitex. This course aimed to provide in-depth knowledge on PPE design materials so as to cover all risks for workers and obviously so that it meets the legislation in force. Juba continues to back employee training to be able to offer its customers up-to-the-minute information as well as helping them become more competitive in this field.

After many years of success, our G600, G630, G630W, G636 and G901 work gloves, suitable for use with chemical products, have recently also been certified for food use. These work gloves have been certified to handle food such as drinks, cereals, cakes, biscuits, pastries, bread, chocolates, vegetables (whole, fresh, refrigerated or unpeeled), fats, oils, animal products, eggs, dairy products and a wide variety of other products. These products, recently certified for food use, correspond to the same glove model in different widths (see table). The G901 is the only shoulder-length glove in our catalogue certified for food use. It has a completely sealed sleeve fitted over the whole surface area and covered with the same nitrile. On the other hand, although the G630W glove does not meet the EN511 cold standard, it has a polyester lining, perfect for handling food in cold atmospheres, cold chambers and outdoors.

PVC is a polymer obtained from two natural primary materials: sodium chloride and petroleum. Due to its characteristics, this material is widely used in manufacturing work gloves. Latex is a milky-looking substance obtained from cuts made in the Hevea brasiliensis tree that can be found in Africa and southern Asia. Its qualities make it widely sought-after as a coating for work gloves. Its main qualities are: - Highly flexible and elastic - Good grip in dry and wet environments - Excellent resistance to tearing and abrasion - Very solid - Water-resistant, non porous *Latex can cause skin problems among people who are allergic to this substance   Types of latex coating: 1. Definition: Nitrile is an alternative synthetic to natural latex, widely used in manufacturing work gloves. Its classic features include: - Excellent abrasion resistance. - Magnificent performance working with solvents, oil, diesel and animal fats. - Protein-free, it avoids allergy-related skin problems. - Recommended for applications where grip is fundamental in wet and dry environments. - Work gloves can be coated in nitrile on the palm, up to half the back of the hand or completely. - In addition, different nitrile coatings can be watertight, porous, rough and bipolymer, depending on their purpose.
