Working outdoors on rainy days is a challenge for many professionals: drivers, operators, farmers, fishermen and, among others, logistics professionals.

But as well as choosing the right wetsuit, it's important to maintain it properly to ensure it performs at its best and lasts longer.

Here are some practical tips:

• Don't store it folded when wet: After your day, avoid leaving your suit in a vehicle or in a bag to avoid dampness, bad smells and deterioration of the material. Hang it up or spread it out for ventilation.
• Leave it to dry in the open air, but out of direct sunlight: Ideally, dry it in a shaded and ventilated place. Prolonged exposure to the sun can damage the waterproof coating, making it sticky or brittle over time.
• Clean it if it gets dirty: Mud, dust or chemicals that may adhere during the work should be removed with cold or lukewarm water. If necessary, use a neutral soap (never aggressive detergents).
• Avoid heat sources: Drying with a hair dryer, near a cooker or on a radiator may seem practical, but it deteriorates the materials and shortens their lifespan.
• Check zips, seams and critical areas: A coverall is subject to chafing and stress. Make frequent checks to make sure everything is in good condition and repair it in time if you notice wear and tear.
• If you take care of it, it protects you better and for longer: A well-maintained wetsuit guarantees comfort, waterproofness and safety throughout your day, even on the toughest days.
